With your donation, we have been able to feed — numbers of family during Ramadan and your contributions has make this year Ramadhaan a blessing for each and every one of them.

We’re so pleased for the trust you had in us this year and the past years. We’re here again for your Zakat-ul-fitr

Zakat ul-fitr is done at the end of ramadhaan before the eid prayer. In as much as you’re an adult and you have food in abundance, it becomes a must for you to pay Zakat-ul-Fitr. The head of the household can pay the zakat-ul-fitr on behalf of his household (Children, Servant, and Relatives)

We at Feeding The Fasting SMD has decided to do this by giving selected private school teachers your Zakat-ul-Fitr that you will be paying to us. The money paid will be used to by essential foodstuff so that the selected teachers can enjoy the day of Eid.

The minimum amount is N1600 which is equivalent to 4 derica of rice per person including the dependents even if they do not live in the same house with you.
The recipients of Zakat-l-fitr are the vulnerable (the same people that are entitled to receive Zakat).

Zakat-ul-Fitr can be paid while we’re still fasting before Eid-l-Fitr. This is to allow us to purchase all the necessary staple and get it delivered to them before Eid or almost immediately after Eid prayer.
